Care Navigation Events

ChAD had an information stall at The Care Navigation event at The Early of Doncaster where Sue Millward, ChAD Support and ChAD member Mark Johnson explained the nature of ChAD’s work and the projects they were involved in.  As the target audience were primary care providers many were aware of our easy read cards, cancer awareness posters and annual health check information and those who were not aware took posters and information back to share at their practice.

Barnborough practice had already requested by email a further supply of appointment and took the opportunity to collect them at the event.  Another practice said they were very happy with them and one particular lady requests them each visit as she finds them so much easier to use.

Practice Manager Jacqueline Harper from the Nayer Practice, Edlington requested that we send Annual Health Check information to her by email, other practices took copies as they felt they were better than the existing ones they had.

We also had a very lengthy conversation with Richard Harris from Weldricks Pharamacy/GP practice about issues people have had with Pharmacy2U and the work ChAD is involved in.  We exchanged contact details as we felt Richard would be a good contact to speak about pharmacies at a future ChAD meeting.

We also had the opportunity to network with other organisations to find out more information about the work they do ie.  Choose Well Doncaster, Your Life Doncaster, Creative Support Doncaster, Talking Sense and Citizens Advice.

A further Care Navigation event was held at the Keepmoat Stadium and attended by ChAD who again engaged with primary care staff from differing practice areas.
